Racing Towards Sound Support Systems
When Team Building Goes Green

The growing popularity of all things GREEN and OUTDOOR continues to make its rounds in various circles. We have extended our concern for all things green by adopting an eco-adventure based approach to team building activities. As with all eco-adventure racing activities, our program requires dedicated teamwork, meticulous planning, cunning strategy and awesome mental and physical stamina – participants will need these skills to conquer tests of mind, body and spirit while keeping close touch with nature. 

Training objectives:
• Develop in the participants’ effective communication skills;
• Be an environment that would foster participants’ creative leadership;
• Build teamwork, and –
• Encourage strategic thinking through activities that require being able to plan and organize under pressure.

Who should attend:
From corporations to local government agencies to people's organizations to non-government organizations, all out to have a good time while communing with the environment through obstacles and trail challenges that aim to "build" and "educate": 

Build. We help build a better working atmosphere for our clients by providing venues that perfectly balance work and play.
 
Educate. We are passionate about environmental education, and we seek novel and innovative ways of ensuring that the materials utilized during our trainings are multi-use, recyclable and environmentally friendly.

Role Assessment and Values Strengthening for the Youth Leaders

It has become increasingly difficult for young people to engage with today’s political agenda. Leaders, especially young leaders, face the difficult challenge of adapting to society’s seemingly unchanging structures and norms. Creativity and vitality have become increasingly important in connecting with young people. We at TEKGRṺP believe that leadership and its role in nation-building is best cultivated in young people who, from a young age, are already inclined towards genuine public service. 

Training objectives:
• Promote deeper awareness of our country’s most pressing issues by situating today’s young elected leaders at the forefront of change;
• Strengthen qualities that lead to effective leadership;
• Renew commitment to service by examining the evolving roles young leaders play in their respective communities.

Who should attend:
We have provided this training to duly elected Sangguniang Kabataan officers and to an out of school youth organization that was in the process of revitalizing it's membership base. We work closely with our clients to identify their organization's requirements. As such, we are able to adjust our programs and recommend strategic interventions that directly respond to our partners' respective needs.

Flagship Training 1

Governance and Resolution Writing
Governance is the process of decision making and the process by which these decisions are implemented. The content and quality of barangay resolutions and ordinances would in the long term, be empowering not only to the individuals who make them but also to the communities that they are a part of. Grassroot-level governance is among the building blocks of Philippine society, an area so organic to the development of our national identity and yet not enough effort is put in to educate and empower elected leaders at this level.

Training objectives:
• Introduce the notion of good and effective governance to the participants;
• Familiarize the participants with the concept and spirit of sound resolution formulation, and –
• Foster participants’ creative leadership and strategic thinking through case-studies and hands-on workshop exercises.

Who should attend:
Ideal participants for this training are elected officials at the barangay level. And because governance and the process of drafting local resolutions and ordinances are at their core, participatory activities, other groups such as people's organizations and other community organizations can also avail of the training.

Institutional Strengthening
To make the most of possibilities and opportunities, an individual or an institution must have both the will and the ability to take action. TEKGRÜP works with organizations and government agencies to increase productivity, efficiency and ownership of their programs by providing trainings and seminars on leadership, team building, human capital development, public relations, organizational development and social entrepreneurship.

Synergistic Local Development
Synergistic local development is best achieved by working closely with local government units and government agencies through strategic interventions to critical sectors at the grassroot level – barangays and people’s organizations. TEKGRÜP provides trainings and workshops on good governance, resolution and ordinance writing, basic paralegal training, integrated development planning, project management and execution and project monitoring and evaluation.

Natural Resource Management
The environment is a growing cause of concern for many organizations and government units. Three main issues that affect environmental governance involve politics, programs and resources. TEKGRÜP provides NRM trainings on basic environmental law, environmental management, waste management, forest resource and coastal resource management for local government units and people’s organizations.
